Alchemy Moon is an appointment only tattoo studio based in Tamworth Town Centre, Staffordshire. Established in November 2016, as originally Dark Steel Tattoo Studio, it was founded by Tattoo Artist Dan Phillips and his wife Rebecca. It began in very humble beginnings in a small room in the Town Centre. 6 months after opening, we moved into a very large "New York Loft" style space and expanded the team to 8, with 6 artists, an apprentice and a studio manager.

In November 2020, we moved into a beautiful Grade ll listed building. The building has been purposely redeveloped for ourselves, retaining much of the original features with a modern twist. 

As always, we provide a relaxed environment where everybody can chat and feel welcome in our open plan studio. We also have three private rooms, with one housing our body piercer.

With 5 full time resident artists, all specialising in different styles and custom designs, you can guarantee there's an artist here for you. All styles are catered for including cover ups and re-works.

We are a completely private studio and therefore have no reception, so all visits to the studio need to be made via an appointment. If you'd like a consultation appointment, please contact your artist directly or pop the studio a message/email where an artist will be allocated to you. We have a super relaxed and welcoming atmosphere but remain extremely professional at all times. We are fully registered and insured and we always maintain the highest of hygiene standards. From the first point of contact, through to aftercare, providing a 5* service and experience for you is of the utmost importance to us.

BOOKING FEE & DESIGN INFO - A non refundable booking fee is required to secure your booking. The fee is transferable if 72 hours notice is given. Two reschedules will be permitted. Anymore and your booking fee will be forfeited. A new fee will be required to book again. 

There is no extra charge for design work but the artists will only design your tattoo if a booking is made and booking fee is paid. This is purely due to the fact the artists are booked in advance and work in order of their diary.

The booking fee amount varies from artist to artist and depends on the length of session you require. The fee is then deducted off the total on the day of your appointment.

Booking fees can be paid via PayPal, bank transfer or cash. Please fill in the contact form to request payment details.

We accept payment by cash on the day of your appointment for the remaining balance, or by PayPal/Bank Transfer pre appointment. Dan also takes card payments in the studio or online.
